National Alpaca Farm Day at Tahoe Breeze Alpacas!

Our first Farm Day was so much fun, we are looking forward to doing it again next year!  The weather cooperated all weekend, it was non-stop from when we opened at 9am till we closed at 5pm both days.  The only time we sat down was to have a hot dog off the bbq!  Our first visitors were a young local 4H group, including their siblings and parents.   Their group leader divided the kids into groups that went from the spinning demo, to feeding the yearling boys, to the baby that was born just one hr prior to their arrival (thanks Amour!), to the main herd with all the moms and babies.   She even had a wonderful information handout for the kids! 

We had a constant stream of visitors both days, store sales were brisk, and more people now know what wonderful animals alpacas are!

Special thanks to our sister Lynne, who flew up from Los Angeles for the weekend to handle the spinning demo, and our good friend Marc, who helped with tours and everything else!  We couldn’t have done it without you guys!
