Another baby girl!  This one even smaller than Aurora.  Weighing in at 8lb 4oz at birth, she is named Seneca.  It was a difficult delivery with Seneca being born at home with assistance and then rushing mom and baby to the vet, where Seneca received oxygen and a shot for underdeveloped lungs.  All looks good!  She is walking on her own, but still too small to nurse just yet.

Three days later Seneca is very lethargic and we are afraid we might lose her.  With lots of TLC and encouragement, she pulls through with help from a plasma transfusion (always have plasma on hand).   We keep her active between naps and feedings to develop those small muscles.   We know it will be touch and go for the next few weeks, but she is getting all the attention we can humanly give her for a fighting chance!
