Tahoe Breeze Alpacas participated for the second year in the local Minden Christmas Street Festival. It was a very successful show for us. Our most popular items were gloves (which sold out), teddy bears and the Extreme Alpaca Socks.
We brought along Silver Chief and Kirkwood so folks could see what an alpaca looks like! Mike and I had been working with the boys for the last month or so to prepare them for the show. They both now jump in and out of the minivan with no problem. Kirkwood had no trouble, but Silver Chief was pretty scared the first couple of times he had to jump out. We never pushed him, just lots of encouragement till he finally did it on his own.
Our boys were a hit and behaved so well, they let everyone touch their wonderful fleece. We were so proud of them!! A big thank you to our good friend Marc, who kept on eye on the boys in their pen, and helped answer everyone’s questions on the subject of alpacas. Enjoy the pictures! Happy Holidays from everyone here at Tahoe Breeze Alpacas!
