Alpaca Show
2008 California Classic

We decided to take Genesse and Jazmin to this show.  What a great time we had!  The weather was awesome, the girls behaved like ladies and each won a ribbon! 

Jazmin was in a class of six and came in fourth.   Here are some pictures of her in the show ring.

Here is Genesse in the show ring.  She placed 5th in a very tough class of 11 alpacas.  The judge was very impressed with Genesse and said she had great consistency of crimp throughout her blanket.  We were so proud of her!   She has come a long way since we first put a halter on her.  It was definitely a little at a time training for her, she cushed the first few times on a halter and wouldn’t budge.  She is one of those alpacas that can only be happily trained with lots of patience and encouragement.
